I used a Switchcraft 170 Plug as a guitar side. It has a large body and compression sealed nut. For me, it sounds more loud than 280 plug. I was looking for the silent plug version of 170. 172 has a Screw Terminal, 181 has a solder lug. Both 172 and 181 have a cable clump nut, so I choose solder lug type 181. I would make 4 types of cable with 181. Belden 9395, 9778, 8412 and Free The Tone 6550. With later 2 shields, I have to ream holes.
