The Z-Bar is, literally, a Z-shaped aluminum bar used to position any microphone in front of a speaker by either suspending the bar from the cabinet's handle, or sliding the unit under the cabinet. Precise mic positioning is afforded by the Z-Bar's adjustable hardware, which utilizes a standard 5/8"-27 mic stand threading. Thus, the Z-Bar eliminates a floor stand while permitting precise mic placement.
"The Z-Bar is the kind of practical tool that has always found a place with guitarists and sound engineers, and we are committed to keeping it on the market," notes Z Right Stuff company President Beverly F. Kontney.
Formerly sold by Shure as model A45Z, the Z-Bar has been unavailable
since its discontinuation in early 1994. A new company, Z Right Stuff
acquired the rights to the product from its inventor and is now
manufacturing and marketing the Z-Bar as their initial product offering
to the music industry.
Constructed of black anodized aircraft-grade aluminum.
